Recycled Racers

This module was based on the Go Green: Engineering Recycled Racers EiE unit.  The youth learned in this lesson that Engineering Design Process is a tool they can use to help to solve problems. They built a car model and re-evaluated their design to improve it with their partner’s support. Participants created a ramp for the Recycled Racer Rally and shared information about their goal and their racer designs with other groups.  The youth learned that the materials you use to create a technology (the recycled racers) impact what the technology can do, and learned the specific goal for a racer can impact many parts of the racer design.

The video below describes the project.
